The ASA Board of Directors met for their monthly meeting on May 3, 2016.  Major topics of discussion included

1. Spring 2016 Travel Soccer:  Updates were shared on the travel teams that are  competing this spring in the Essex County Youth Soccer Association.  Planning is underway for the evaluation dates to be held in mid-June.  Updates will be provided on the Travel Soccer page. 
2. Spring 2016 Kickin' It:  Spring Kickin’ It started April 24.  Registration is approximately 160 players.  There are many exciting events and activities planned for Spring Kickin' It, including Boston Breakers coming on May 8 and Food Drive for Our Neighbors’ Table on May 15.   
3. Summer Soccer:  Registration will be available in mid-May.  ASA is looking to increase participation in this program.  Games will not start until after July 4, and late-June will include skills and scrimmage play.  ASA will institute a turn-in program for used summer uniforms. 
4. Next ASA Board Meeting is scheduled for June 7.
