Welcome to Amesbury Soccer Association

Amesbury Soccer Association (ASA) is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to providing a fun, safe and healthy environment for youth players to enjoy in-town recreational and competitive travel soccer. ASA offers soccer programs for players ages 3 through high school.

Programs Offered

Players should choose from the following programs based on their age/grade.


KICKIN' IT SOCCER

Pre-K to K

 

ASA Kickin' It! program offers  3 programs with age-specific activities:

  • Tots (age 3-5)
  • Kindergarten (age 5-6)

Schedule:

  • Six week season
  • Sunday morning clinic/games
  • Tots - 10am-10:45am
  • Kindergarten - 11am-12pm

Spring 2024 Season will run Sundays from 4/28-6/9 with no programs on Memorial Day Weekend.

Uniforms and Equipment

Uniform shirts will be provided and are included in the registration fee.

Shin pads are required. Cleats are recommended


KI Registration Status

Registration is open for the Spring 2024 Season.

 



In Town league

1st to 2nd Grade

 

Here players get there first opportunity to be a part of a set team and play real matches. Balanced teams will be created after week 2.

  • Instructional league
  • focused on having fun and building skills
  • uniform shirt provided
  • experienced kindergarteners may register for this program

Schedule:

-8 week season
- Saturday games
-One 1 hour weekday practice

Uniforms and Equipment

Uniform shirts will be provided and are included in the registration fee.

Shin pads are required. Cleats are recommended


In Town Registration Status

Registration is open for the Spring 2024 Season and will close on March 15th.

 


MVP TRAVEL

GRADE 3-4

 

Players in Grades 3-4 compete in a developmental league against teams from neighboring Merrimack Valley communities (Newburyport, West Newbury, Merrimac, and Groveland). 

  • Instructional League
  • Balanced teams with the intention of even matches
  • Focus on improving skills and having fun while preparing for increased competition
  • Officiated matches

Schedule:

  •  8 Saturday games(4 home, 4 away)
  •  Two 60 minute weekday practices

Uniforms

All MVP and ECYSA Travel players will need to purchase their own uniform. Uniforms need to be ordered at least one month prior to the start of the season to be able to personalize theirs with their last name and number.

Uniforms can be reused for multiple seasons. The uniform also consists of all black socks and shorts.

ECYSA TRAVEL SOCCER 

Grade 5 and up

Competes in in the Essex County Youth Soccer Association

  • Teams follow ECYSA rules and regulations
  • Leveled teams - players divided by skill level
  • Teams placed by skill division within ECYSA
  • Spring tournaments for top teams

COACHES/VOLUNTEERS

Summer 2023 - Spring 2024

ASA runs on volunteers. Thank you for your support!

This yearly volunteer registration covers July 2023 through June 2024.

Ages groups: high school volunteers and any adult

Requirements:
 - CORI check (adults, yearly)

Additionally for ECYSA coaches:
 - SafeSport training (adults, every 2 years)
 - CDC Concussion awareness (all, every 2 years)

TOPSoccer Details

TOPsoccer

Grades K-8th

 

This is a soccer program for players with physical, developmental, and cognitive disabilities. 

Please complete this registration to sign up for the five week program that will run on Wednesdays -  6:30 – 7:30 pm. 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27 at Jordan Shay Memorial Lower Elementary School. 

Format

Each TOPS athlete is paired with a Buddy; a trained youth volunteer who will work with their player individually to ensure they are safe, engaged, supported and, most importantly, HAVING FUN! Each session will include warmups, skills games, goal scoring, and small-sided scrimmages. Prior soccer experience is not necessary.

Registration is free!

  • Five-week session at Jordan Shay Memorial Lower Elementary School
  • Wednesdays: 2/28, 3/6, 3/13, 3/20, 3/27
  • Evenings 6:30-7:30 pm 
  • low commitment: new teams are made weekly based on who shows up

ASA Health & Safety

The safety and well- being of our players, coaches, and volunteers is the number one priority to ASA. Thank you to all of the Board Members, coaches, players, parents, referees, and others who  supported and encouraged ASA since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  We will continue to follow Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association Guidelines. and utilize best practices for safety.
